Co-Author Naturally Endowed: Chaos by Decree

Meet DonnaInk Publications Author Alex Chew on a Journey Through Life and Learning as Co-Author to Naturally Endowed

From Early Fatherhood to Service

At the age of 18, Alex found himself stepping into the role of a father, just shortly after graduating high school. Embracing his new responsibilities, he started working early, gaining valuable work and life experience along the way. In 1993, driven by a sense of duty and adventure, Alex joined the United States Marine Corps. However, his journey took an unexpected turn when he was injured in training the same year, leading to an Honorable Medical Discharge as a Lance Corporal (LCpl) with a service-connected disability.

A Hollywood Cameo

In 1999, Alex had a unique opportunity to be part of the movie Titus Andronicus, where he played the character Lucius Andronicus. This experience added a creative dimension to his already diverse life journey.

Academic Pursuits

Interdisciplinary interests have been a theme throughout Alex's academic and professional career. After spending a few more years in the workforce, he decided to further his education. At the age of 25, he enrolled in a local community college, where he earned his Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in three years. His academic journey continued at the University of South Florida (USF), where he received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Physics in 2003. As a student, Alex enjoyed tutoring fellow students in math and sciences.

Passion for Teaching and Continued Education

After six months of teaching high school math, Alex decided to pursue graduate studies. He enrolled at Florida State University (FSU) and graduated in 2008 with a Master of Science (M.S.) in Chemistry, concentrating in biochemistry. Over the next decade, Alex dedicated himself to teaching chemical and biological sciences at various colleges and universities in northern Florida, including Florida State University, Tallahassee Community College, North Florida College, and Chipola College.

Engineering at NASA Alex's career took another exciting turn when he spent five years as a controls and electrical engineer at NASA's Stennis Space Center Engineering and Test Directorate. This role allowed him to combine his love for science and engineering, contributing to important space missions.

A Life of Adventure and Simple Pleasures

Today, Alex lives in North Florida/Tallahassee with his love, Amelia, along with their hen Penny, some fish, and two cats. He enjoys reasonably distanced hikes, long road trips, motorcycles, volleyball, and, of course, coffee. Alex's philosophy on life and investments can be summed up in one of his favorite sayings: "Time in the market is better than timing the market."

About the Book

Naturally Endowed: Chaos by Design by Alex Chew and Donna L. Quesinberry is a gripping narrative that delves into the complex interplay between governmental oversight and the erosion of citizens' inherent rights. Set against the backdrop of a world in turmoil, the book explores the impact of a pandemic and the broader implications of haphazard decision-making by national and international leaders.

The story weaves through the experiences of bureaucrats, scientists, and everyday citizens, illustrating the urgent need for swift action and the desperate clamor for answers. However, in their haste, leaders often trample civil liberties, leaving a wake of chaos and shattered lives. Chew and Quesinberry draw from extensive research and insider experiences to expose the dance of power and the elusive accountability of those in authority.

This raw and unflinching work challenges readers to confront the pain, damage, and death caused by these decisions, urging a reevaluation of the cost of blind obedience and the importance of defending naturally endowed rights.
